Alexis George
Vice President of Media Related
Alexis George is a Marketing and Communications Manager at Quest, Incorporated serving as the organization’s primary storyteller to further the mission of helping individuals with developmental disabilities experience a full life. She produces three monthly newsletters and has authored over 100 articles in this role, sharing organizational updates and highlighting the success stories of both staff and the individuals served to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across the platforms. She is also in the process of relaunching The Soul Within, a digital magazine for Black men.
Alexis previously served as the Editor of a Central Florida Lifestyle Magazine.
No matter her endeavor, she lives by a quote from her favorite author James Baldwin: “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
Alexis earned her bachelor’s degree in Print-Digital Journalism with a minor in business from the University of Central Florida and later went on to complete her Master’s in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.
She is passionate about storytelling and community connection.
Alexis serves as VP of Digital for the Central Florida Association of Black Journalist and is an active member of the Orange County (FL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she serves in roles that ensure the members and community served remain informed.
