JOURNALISM MATTERS

Who We Are

The Central Florida Association of Black Journalists was founded in 1983 as the Black Media Association/Central Florida. Its mission was to form a regional network of journalists that would serve as a forum in which they could improve skills and share ideas and experiences. The organization became an affiliate chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists in 1991. Currently, CFABJ serves journalists, media and public relations professionals, and students and professors in the communications field in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, and Lake counties.
