CFABJ’s Holiday Brunch
January 18, 2026It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share with you that our beloved Chester “Chet” Glover passed away unexpectedly .
Chester was a long-time dedicated member of NABJ and CFABJ. He was a charter member of our organization and was inducted into CFABJ’s Hall of Fame. He served tirelessly in our organization for more than 40 years, most recently as our treasurer.
But this is not what made Chester so special.
Chester took a genuine interest in everyone he met and always had an encouraging word. His smile lit up the room, and his laugh was infectious. He was a kind humble person with a quick wit.
Words cannot even begin to express how much he will be missed, but I hope that his kind words and thoughtful actions will bring each of us some peace during this difficult time.
Madam Secretary Sharon Fletcher Jones really appreciates all the kind words, reflections and most importantly your prayers.
She has shared the Homegoing arrangements for our dear friend Chester Glover under the care of Mitchell’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Chester Glover Scholarship Fund:
