SUMMARY:40th Anniversary Scholarship Gala and Hall of Fame Induction
DESCRIPTION:Greetings\, \nMy name is Tammie Fields and I am the President of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. We are excited to host our 40th Anniversary Scholarship Gala and Hall of Fame Induction on Saturday\, November 4th of 2023 at the wonderful Food For Thought Event Venue in Ocoee\, Florida from 6-10 pm. \nWe want to thank our sponsors for their support. The proceeds will help benefit CFABJ programming and journalism scholarships. \nCFABJ is a non-profit organization of Central Florida professionals who work in every facet of print\, broadcast and digital media. For 40 years we have provided professional development\, honored excellence in journalism\, cultivated young journalists and ensured accurate coverage of people of color. \nWe provide scholarships and journalism seminars to area college students seeking journalism careers. We also conduct workshops for media professionals. Additionally\, CFABJ presents outreach programs\, seminars and town hall forums free for our community. \nWe look forward to this special night and for what the future holds for CFABJ for the next 40 years!
