Springing forward with the season, the Central Florida Association of Black Journalists (CFABJ) has kept a busy calendar. At the helm of February’s Membership Challenge success and first Member Outreach Mixer of the year, CFABJ recorded strong attendance and support of the annual Anchors Away fundraiser on March 16.
Held at the Winter Park Community Center, nearly $1,000 was earned with plenty of shoppers capitalizing on huge designer savings –– including some of our members. Syan’s Closet, as many affectionately say, was a hit. Whether on the hunt for designer clothing, jewelry, sports coats or clutches, CFABJ’s Anchors Away sale came second to none.
In addition to all the great works CFABJ members have produced collectively and individually, we applaud those who contribute to CFABJ’s growth. As we prepare to host thousands for the annual NABJ Convention and Career Fair (July 31 – August 4) we look for more members to join and support CFABJ programming and initiatives.
